On Friday 10th February, Ranil Jayawardena, Member of Parliament for North East Hampshire, visited the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Ambulance at Thruxton Airport, Hampshire.
In late 2016, the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance won the Association of Air Ambulances Award of Excellence for their ‘Be a 999 Hero’ campaign’ for children. Mr Jayawardena was invited to visit their HQ to see and hear more about their life-saving work.
Ranil Jayawardena MP commented:
“It was fascinating to visit Hampshire’s Air Ambulance. Year by year, they’re doing more for us, so I think it’s right that we support them too. As a charity, they are – and always have been – funded by donations and fund-raising events. I wish them every success in the future.”
