Ranil Jayawardena visited the Department for Transport today to deliver two submissions to the South Western RailFranchise consultation, calling for quicker, longer, better trains. This consultation is part of the process to decide who runs South West Trains in the future.
The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight made a joint submission on improvements that would help the whole of our area - and Ranil made an additional submission on improvements that would benefit North East Hampshire specifically.
Ranil states "With rail patronage higher than ever, I will continue to work with fellow Conservatives in HM Government to improve our infrastructure, which is critical to economic growth for our constituency, our county and our country."
